Info from Cisco:
SIP Tiger tool. Web based provisioning..
http://www.vovida.org/applications/downloads/siptiger/
(1) Short problem description:
Better provisioning
(2) Longer problem description (what happens):
The phone is currently provisioned using tftp. This is cumbersome and
insecure. In large-scale deployments this requires a custom
tftp-server. We would like https provisioning which would protect
passwords stored shipped in the configuration file.
(3) Possible solution (what did you expect):
I expect to be able to write software myself to generate phone
configuration.
(5) Workaround used currently (if applicable):
Write your own tftp-server (which we have but this methods sucks).
(6) The behaviour wanted exists in product (name manufacturer and
product as exactly as possible):
Lots of gadgets use http to provision. Use of https is less widespread
but a good idea.
(7) Would you classify this as:
(B) Missing feature: Can not deploy before fixed.
(8) What software version
