The INOC-DBA project, sponsored partly by Cisco, has found a number of problems with the Cisco 7960 phone when running a SIP image. A summary of the findings can be found on this page.

If you have seen a problem which is not on this list, please let me (Patrik Fältström) know. Answer all of the questions found on this page.

When you see "INFO from cisco" below, it is a description/solution given by Cisco. "Resolved" means it was not a problem with the software or hardware, but instead a configuration/user error. "More data needed" means Cisco want more data to make sure it can be resolved.

  1. Bug/malfunction: Can not deploy before fixed
  2. Missing feature: Can not deploy before fixed
  3. Bug/malfunction: Ok to deploy with workaround
  4. Missing feature: Ok to deploy with workaround
  5. Nice if bug is fixed, but not urgent
  6. Nice if feature existed

Note that email addresses might have an additional token "SPAM" in them so email address gathering robots get bad information. Example: paf@SPAM.cisco.com. Just remove the extra "SPAM.", and you have an address which is possible to use.
